Congress Centre ALDIS, Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic
The main task of the two-year project is to enable the representatives of twinning towns exchange of experience and provide them with an opportunity to discuss with other representatives of public administration and to see samples of good practise from a number of various areas of informatization of public administration as well as to let each other know about the most interesting projects. Among the participants of this year LORIS conference there did not lack lord mayors and mayors, leading representatives of self-governing units as well as the representatives of academic field significantly working on preparation and further development of e-government. The guests of the conference also represented a very wide range of the EU member countries—from the representatives of Austria, including the visitors from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary to the deputies from Rumania. More than 2000 participants of the simultaneously held national conference ISSS were as usual acquainted with the results of the International Conference LORIS 2010. In the course of the social gala evening the participants of the event also followed the announcement of the results of the international competitions EuroCrest (for the best internet web pages of towns, municipalities and regions in Europe) or the award hand-over to the participants of the international competition of young talents JuniorCrest. Information about the conference LORIS 2011 will be again distributed also through the participating European initiatives and networks such as e.g. Global Cities Dialogue, ELANET and others. |
