This year Days of Moldava nad Bodvou were attended by deputies of public administration of four countriesbesides hosts and deputies of other self-governments or deputies from Slovakia there were also representatives of Hungarian towns Karcag, Tarcal and Siklós, Polish Brzozow, Rumanian Cristuru Secuiesc and Czech Tinov, among significant guests there did not lack either consul general of Hungarian republic in Slovakia János Szerencsés or minister of regional development of Hungary Sándor Fazekas. In his ceremonial speech the lord mayor of Moldava nad Bodvou Utván Zacharia pointed out the importance of cross-border cooperation as well as twinning of towns from the regions that stand by the main course of events as well as the significance of eliminating regional differences. He also pointed out some observations from the session of the Committee of Regions of the Council of the European Union and thanked all the foreign guests for the participation and contribution to further development of friendly relations in the whole Central and East European region. |
