International Conference LORIS 2010

Among the key topics of a two-day programme there will not lack discussions about development of e-government at the local and regional level, use of EU resources at developing chosen ICT projects, town-twinning and networking or developing of e-tourism. The main aim of the event is to intensify cooperation of twinning towns and regions of all Europe among which there is Prague, Hradec Králové, Jihlava, Slovak Moldava nad Bodvou, Hungarian Karcag, Polish Walbrzych, some other twinning towns or Vysočina Region.

The main task of the two-year project is to enable the representatives of the twinning towns mutual discussion as well as exchange of experience with other representatives of public administration as well as passing the experience and sharing the best practices from a number of other areas of informatization of the public administration. There will be also discussed the objectives of i2010 initiative and its implementation at the local level as well as the further development of e-government in the whole Central and East European region.

More than 2000 participants of the simultaneously held national conference ISSS as well as Visegrád conference V4DIS will be acquainted with the results of the meetings of International Conference LORIS 2010. As every year the information will be further distributed also through the participating European initiatives and networks such as e.g. Global Cities Dialogue, ELANET and others.

Participants of the International Conference LORIS 2010 in Hradec Králové can take part already in the Sunday afternoon workshop (E-government Expert Forum) held by the association SPIS and then in the social gala evening. After demanding Monday programme the participants will then in the course of the gala evening wait in suspense for the announcement of the international competition EuroCrest for the best internet web pages of towns, municipalities and regions in Europe or results of another international competition JuniorCrest.
