The main task of the meeting was as every year to enable the representatives of the twinning towns mutual discussion as well as exchange of experience with other representatives of public administration and that is especially about the objectives i2010 and its implementation at the local level. The conference intensified the dialogue concerning the main points of further development of eGovernment and it obviously touched most of the latest trends in this area. "The international conference LORIS is annually a unique opportunity especially for exchange of international experience," says Jiří Běhounek, president of Vysočina region. "As the most important I find the fact that the representatives of the public administration can discuss in detail both successful projects and possible problems, which can appear within implementation of information technologies in separate towns or regions. I am also glad that within this international comparison Vysočina Region has also quite a good position." Approximately 2000 participants of simultaneously held national conference ISSS as well as Visegrád conference V4DIS could get acquainted with the results of the meetings of international conference LORIS 2009. As every year the information will be further distributed also through the participating European initiatives and networks such as e.g. Telecities-Eurocities, ELANET-CEMR, ERIS@ or Global Cities Dialogue. Most of the participants of the international conference LORIS 2009 appeared in Hradec Králové already during Sunday and took part in the afternoon workshop (E-government Expert Forum) held by association SPIS and then took part in the social gala evening in the town theatre. Monday, the first official day of the conference, was already full of seminars, presentations and workshops and in the course of the evening gala programme the participants waited in suspense for the announcement of the international competition EuroCrest for the best internet web pages of towns, municipalities and regions in Europe or results of another international competition JuniorCrest. During Tuesday they had an opportunity to meet also colleagues from more then 20 countries of the EU who took part in the European conference "eID and Public Registers" held within the programme of the 12th year of the conference ISSS/LORIS by Ministry of Interior of CR. After the Tuesday morning working programme the international conference LORIS officially finished. |
