In the EuroCrest 2002 competition for the best Internet pages of cities, towns and regions within central and east Europe candidate countries were placed among the six winning projects also the pages of the Czech northeastern city of Most. Official declaration of results was a part of the 5th annual “Internet in the public and municipal services” conference in Hradec Kralove. European Commission representatives Gerald Santucci and Giangaleazzo Cairoli gave the prizes at a ceremony. The web pages of Polish Szczecin, Slovak Nove Zamky, Estonian Tapa, Bulgarian Stara Zagora and Lithuanian Vilnius received the other awards. A special prize was given to the city of Vienna, whose web pages could be used as a reference as far as quality is concerned. |
